Terms and Conditions

Last updated 31 October 2026. By using braintasia.com or the Braintasia app you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and plain.

Who we are

Braintasia is run by Don Duncan in the United States ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@braintasia.com.

The service

Braintasia sends you facts about topics you choose, one at a time, by notification or email, along with quizzes, True or false challenges and public topic pages. It's free. We may add, change or remove features, and we may limit how many topics or facts an account gets, to keep the service running well for everyone.

Facts are written by AI

Our facts, quiz questions and help answers are written by AI (Google Gemini) and shaped by members' votes. We work to keep them true, but AI can get things wrong. Facts are for fun and curiosity, not professional advice: don't rely on them for medical, legal, financial, safety or school-grade decisions without checking a trusted source. If a fact looks wrong, give it a thumbs down or tell us.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 to sign up.
  • Give a real email address, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One account per person. Accounts can't be sold or transferred.
  • You can close your account at any time from User Settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what that deletes.

Using Braintasia fairly

Please don't:

  • add topics that are hateful, sexual, violent, harassing or otherwise not suitable for all ages;
  • try to get around limits, sign-up checks or other security measures, or access accounts that aren't yours;
  • scrape, copy in bulk, or overload the site with bots or automated requests;
  • use the help chat or any other feature to try to make the AI produce harmful content.

We may hide topics, remove content, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Topics you add

When you add a topic, you let us use its name to write facts and to run the site. Once three or more people add the same topic, it can become a public topic page, without anything showing who added it. We may rename, merge or hide any topic.

Our content

The facts, share cards, images, design and code of Braintasia belong to us. You're welcome to share single facts, share cards and challenges with friends and on social media, ideally with a link back. Please don't republish facts in bulk, sell them, or use them to train other AI systems.

Affiliate links and tips

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Gift and book links on Braintasia and in our emails go to Amazon, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon's own terms apply to anything you buy there. Tips through our Ko-fi page are voluntary gifts that help pay for the AI and servers. They don't buy any extra features.

Emails and notifications

Facts arrive at random times within the hours you choose. Every email has a link to stop that kind of email, and notifications can be turned off in your browser or phone settings. We may pause facts for accounts that have been inactive for a long time, and we'll email you first.

Other sites

We link to other sites, such as Amazon, Ko-fi and social networks. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.

No guarantees

Braintasia is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every fact is accurate, and we can't promise exactly when a fact will arrive.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses from using Braintasia or relying on its facts. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50, since the service is free. You agree to cover our costs if a claim is brought against us because you broke these terms or the law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA. If you live somewhere with consumer rights that can't be waived, you keep those rights.

Changes

We may update these terms as Braintasia changes. We'll update the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell members by email first. Using Braintasia after a change means you accept the new terms.
