Some computational creativity systems can generate art that's surprisingly unpredictable, even to their creators, highlighting the emergent properties of complex algorithms. elaborate
AI is accelerating drug discovery by identifying potential drug candidates far faster than traditional methods, sometimes predicting the efficacy of molecules before they're even synthesized. elaborate
Deep learning models often require massive amounts of data to train effectively; a single training run can consume more energy than a human being does in a lifetime. elaborate
Pattern recognition systems are often surprisingly vulnerable to adversarial attacks – tiny, almost imperceptible changes to input data that can drastically alter the system's output. elaborate
Evolutionary algorithms are inspired by biological evolution, but they don't necessarily mimic it perfectly. For example, they often use techniques like crossover (combining parts of solutions) which don't have a direct biological equivalent. elaborate
